LRIG Korea's Mission

LRIG Korea is the only special interest group in Korea focused on laboratory automation.

Our mission is to enable greater interaction between scientists and engineers, and provide practical support and information. These strengthened ties will result in more skilled and knowledgeable candidates, ultimately supporting Korea's drug discovery, screening, automation and related disciplines.

The LRIG Korea chapter is composed of individuals from Korea’s pharmaceutical, biotechnical industries and academia. Annually, LRIG Korea will hold two large scale meetings. The Technology Exhibition to showcase the latest in laboratory instrumentation, automation, software, reagents and consumables and the Scientific Meeting which focuses on topics ranging from cutting-edge biotechnologies to common challenges faced in life sciences. Members also benefit from nurturing professional relationships and gain access to new opportunities and resources through networking.

LRIG 코리아는 실험실 자동화에 초첨을 맞춘 한국의 첫번째 전문가 그룹입니다. LRIG 코리아의 미션은 과학자와 엔지니어가 서로 상호 작용을 통해 실질적인 정보 교류와 연구 지원이 이루어 질 수 있도록 기회의 장을 만드는 것입니다. 이렇게 다양한 그룹의 전문가들을 유기적으로 엮어주는 역할을 함으로, 한국에는 더욱 숙련되고 다양한 정보를 습득한 전문가들이 배출되게 될 것이며, 이는 결과적으로 한국의 신약 개발, 스크리닝, 자동화 및 다양한 관련 학문들의 발전으로 이어질 것입니다.

LRIG 코리아 그룹은 제약 및 바이오 산업 그리고 다양한 학계의 전문가로 구성되어 있습니다. 그리고 앞으로 LRIG 코리아는 2 종류의 대규모 미팅을 기획할 예정입니다. 하나는 실험 장비, 자동화 기기, 소프트웨어, 시약, 실험실 소모품 등 다양한 최신 제품을 볼 수 있는 기술 전시 미팅이며, 다른 하나는 최신 바이오 기술 부터 현재 생명과학 연구가 직면하고 다양한 도전 과제들을 토론하고 다루는 학회 미팅이 진행될 예정입니다. LRIG 코리아 맴버가 되신다면, 이런 전문가들과의 만남을 통해 다양한 지식을 쌓을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 새로운 기회와 연구 자원이 될 네트워킹 역시 쌓을 수 있습니다.
