About LRIG San Diego

The LRIG San Diego chapter was founded at the LabAutomation2000 meeting in Palm Springs at the special interest meeting where the existing
LRIG leadership first proposed starting regional chapters throughout North America.  Active meetings started later that year and utilized
space at UC San Diego.  Twelve years later we are working with San Diego LEADS and local lab automation users groups to co-host
meetings in the San Diego bio/pharma cluster.  We are always interested in hosting presenters highlighting new laboratory technology
efforts in the San Diego area.  We are especially interested in showcasing new applications and new industries, such as algae based
bio-fuels, stem cell and regenerative medicine or advanced materials.
